The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. Derya received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $200 is paid. She had never been late before July's medical emergency. Derya called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which isn't available. The household includes an elderly mother, and going through winter without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. Derya is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
