Keep the electricity and water on at Aleksandra's home in Warsaw
Aleksandra is behind on electricity and water bills after April's medical emergency and needs $400 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Aleksandra received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $400 is paid. She had never been late before April's medical emergency.
Aleksandra called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $60 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Aleksandra is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Aleksandra's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

• Down payment on a payment plan: $90

Thank you all. We're at 16% now ($65). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for reconnection and late fees is now scheduled.
Quick update: $20 raised so far (5%). the plan for gas arrears is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Update from Warsaw: I made the first payment toward down payment on a payment plan. We're at 4% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
