Keep a roof over Busaba's head in Chiang Mai
A notice to vacate arrived last week. Busaba needs $350 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Chiang Mai.

When the restaurant closed in November, Busaba fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $350.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by March, the family must leave.
There are two young children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Busaba has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.

• Late fees and court costs: $75
• First month of rent as a buffer: $240
• Utilities in arrears: $35
