Justine was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Paris University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Justine is 58, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Paris University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $6,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,750 • Scans and lab work: $1,350 • Transport to Paris University Hospital: $590 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $650 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,560 Glad we found this place.
