Julia's final semester of a master's in public health in Dresden
A first-generation student, Julia needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a master's in public health.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a master's in public health at Dresden University, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $4,450.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my academic advisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Dresden University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $4,450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,050
• Final term tuition: $2,900
• Exam and lab fees: $290
• Textbooks and materials: $210
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
