Seoul
Joon-woo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at Seoul Polytechnic, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $2,650. The registrar has said Joon-woo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Joon-woo has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Joon-woo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Joon-woo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Seoul Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $2,650 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $160 • Outstanding tuition balance: $600 • Final term tuition: $1,890 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
