Ifeoma was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in February. The oncology team at the Bonny Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Ifeoma is 53, worked as a bank teller until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bonny Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,400 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $850 • Scans and lab work: $75 • Transport to the Bonny Oncology Institute: $90 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70 • Household costs while unable to work: $315 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
