Hossain is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450. The registrar has said Hossain can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hossain has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hossain would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Hossain isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Coimbatore Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $450 goes: • Final term tuition: $370 • Textbooks and materials: $35 • Exam and lab fees: $45 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
