I make my living with my ride-share car. 3 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked ten hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $150 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $20
• Labor charges: $40
• gearbox replacement (parts): $90
Every share and every dollar helps.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Henok.
stay strong, Henok. Shared this with my family. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Addis Ababa
You're not alone. Small businesses are the heart of Addis Ababa. Hope you're open again soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
