Wendy was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in February. The oncology team at the Sacramento Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Wendy is 36, worked as a farmer until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Sacramento Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
