Help Valentina through 10 rounds of treatment for colon cancer
Supporting Valentina through colon cancer: medication, transport to Chicago University Hospital, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇸 United States338 views
Valentina was diagnosed with colon cancer in December. The oncology team at Chicago University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Valentina is 27, worked as a primary school teacher until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Chicago University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $5,750 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,350
• Transport to Chicago University Hospital: $760
• Scans and lab work: $1,640
Thanks for being kind about this.
