Tayo was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Abuja Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Tayo is 55, worked as a farmer until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Abuja Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,250 goes: • Scans and lab work: $260 • Household costs while unable to work: $280 • Transport to Abuja Cancer Centre: $75 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $635 Thanks for reading all this.
