Maria, my sister, passed away on 15 December after a road accident. She was 67 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 26 December. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Maria to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Thessaloniki hospice. Where the $2,250 goes: • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $900 • Funeral home services and casket: $1,250 • Transport of the deceased: $100 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
