Sapna was diagnosed with kidney cancer in December. The oncology team at Mumbai University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Sapna is 42, worked as a nurse until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,450 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $300 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000 • Transport to Mumbai University Hospital: $95 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $55 Glad we found this place.
