Help me pay for septoplasty at Brasília University Hospital
A scheduled septoplasty in September is out of reach without help covering $1,700 of the cost.

In May I was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly. My surgeon at Brasília University Hospital recommended septoplasty, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $2,150, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $1,700 short.
Doctors at Brasília University Hospital told me a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without septoplasty. I work as a seamstress, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $2,150 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a seamstress have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. I'll not be able to work a full shift during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $590
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $580
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $95
• Post-operative medication: $110
• Physiotherapy sessions: $180
• Travel and lodging for the family: $145
I hope life is good to you.
