In June I was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated. My surgeon at Sacramento University Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and I have been placed on the schedule for September. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $10,250, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $8,150 short.
Doctors at Sacramento University Hospital told me a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without emergency hernia repair. I work as a care assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $10,250 is far beyond what I've.
