Help Madhu get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
A medical corps veteran in Nashik needs help with a trained service dog and handler course after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.

I served fourteen years in the medical corps and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a trained service dog and handler course. The quote I have comes to $800.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $800 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $175
• Training provider fees: $520
• Essential household items: $105
I hope life is good to you.

how is Madhu doing now?
Thinking of you and your family, Madhu. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Cardiff donated after I showed her your page!
Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Madhu?
Sharing the link is the biggest thing. And if you know anything about housing deposit and first month, advice is welcome too. Ask me anything else.
Stay strong, Madhu. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings
