Help Madhavan restart a roadside café in New Delhi after the demolition of the market
A roadside café in New Delhi needs help replacing an espresso machine and grinder after the demolition of the market.
🇮🇳 New Delhi, Delhi, India1,477 views
For twelve years I have run a roadside café in New Delhi. In June, the demolition of the market took an espresso machine and grinder. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Thursday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing an espresso machine and grinder: $310
• Initial stock: coffee and pastries: $50
• Shop repairs and licensing: $85
• Working capital for the first month: $55
Thanks for reading all this.

Good luck, Madhavan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless!
wishing you the best, Madhavan. Hope you make a strong comeback. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care
Sending strength. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of New Delhi.
Sending strength. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Reading but we're thinking of you. All the best.
Hope things get better soon, Madhavan. Your post was clear and honest
