Lydia was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in February. The oncology team at Auckland University Hospital has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Lydia is 33, worked as a construction supervisor until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Auckland University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,700 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,500 • Scans and lab work: $550 • Transport to Auckland University Hospital: $830 • Household costs while unable to work: $820 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
