Iztapalapa
Lorenzo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at the Iztapalapa Institute of Technology, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,800. The registrar has said Lorenzo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Lorenzo has a 3.6 average, and an academic advisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Lorenzo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Lorenzo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the the Iztapalapa Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,800 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $75 • Outstanding tuition balance: $740 • Final term tuition: $985 Thanks for reading all this.
