Lea is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Lea was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March. The oncology team at Munich University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Lea is 30, worked as a taxi driver until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Munich University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,950 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $1,200 • Transport to Munich University Hospital: $970 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $530 • Scans and lab work: $1,250 Glad we found this place. - Uwe
