Komal is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Komal was diagnosed with kidney cancer in April. The oncology team at Toledo University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Komal is 57, worked as a bus conductor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Toledo University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
