Help Kiprop pay for septoplasty at Nairobi Regional Medical Center
After severe cataracts in both eyes, Kiprop was cleared for septoplasty, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Kiprop was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in August. The surgeon at Nairobi Regional Medical Center recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my son has been in and out of Nairobi Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kiprop struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Kiprop won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $660
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $430
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $60
• Post-operative medication: $50
• Physiotherapy sessions: $60
• Travel and lodging for the family: $40
I hope life is good to you.
