Karim was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in July. The oncology team at Parma Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Karim is 25, worked as a tailor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Parma Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $5,500 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,050 • Scans and lab work: $900 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $680 • Household costs while unable to work: $870 Glad we found this place.
