Help Kana restart a neighborhood bakery in Shinjuku after a fire in the building
Kana lost a commercial oven to a fire in the building and needs $2,900 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Shinjuku. In August, a fire in the building took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $2,900 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $2,200
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $270
• Shop repairs and licensing: $210
• Working capital for the first month: $220
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Small businesses are the heart of Shinjuku. Hope you're open again soon. Put this on a community board in Braunschweig this morning.
is there anything that isn't money that would help Kana?
Thank you. If you're in Shinjuku I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Ask me anything else.
Take care, Kana. Looking forward to the next update. All the best
wishing you the best, Kana. I hope things turn around soon. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
