Help Joshua restart a neighborhood bakery in Caloocan after floodwater
A neighborhood bakery in Caloocan needs help replacing a commercial oven after floodwater.
🇵🇭 Philippines1,375 views
For fifteen years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Caloocan. In January, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Sunday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $500 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $210
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $85
• Shop repairs and licensing: $40
• Working capital for the first month: $165
Glad we found this place.

Small businesses are the heart of Caloocan. Hope you're open again soon. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Caloocan.
So sorry you're going through this, Joshua. Hope you make a strong comeback. Take care.
Sending love, Joshua. Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Victoria.
Wishing you the best. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 20 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Birmingham.
You're not alone. Hope you get there. Thinking of Caloocan.
