Howard was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March. The oncology team at El Paso University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Howard is 54, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to El Paso University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $10,350 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,500 • Scans and lab work: $1,800 • Transport to El Paso University Hospital: $650 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $650 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,750 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Rooting for you. Get well soon. It's not much but it's yours.

    • You're not alone, Eugene. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.

      • hope it all works out. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Duque de Caxias so I could bring a meal.

        • Wishing you the best, Eugene. Hope the doctors have good news.

          • hope it all works out, Eugene. Hope you get there. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. God bless
