Gonzalo is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in social work at the Mobile Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a tutor to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $3,850. The registrar has said Gonzalo can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Gonzalo has a 3.6 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Gonzalo would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Gonzalo isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees. Where the $3,850 goes: • Exam and lab fees: $340 • Textbooks and materials: $190 • Final term tuition: $3,320 If you're reading this, thank you.
