Emilia was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in February. The surgeon at Mississauga Regional Medical Center recommended septoplasty, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,600 short.
my wife has been in and out of Mississauga Regional Medical Center since February. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Emilia struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Emilia won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
