Help Chiamaka get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
An army veteran in Lagos needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with chronic tinnitus.

I served twelve years in the army and was discharged in 2024 with chronic tinnitus. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $600 goes:
• Essential household items: $25
• Training provider fees: $410
• Housing deposit and first month: $165
Thank you for reading my story.

Hope it all works out, Chiamaka. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Lagos.
