Help Carolina through 6 rounds of treatment for prostate cancer
Carolina is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
Anywhere in the world1,052 views
Carolina was diagnosed with prostate cancer in June. The oncology team at the Coyoacán Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Carolina is 26, worked as a bakery worker until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Coyoacán Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $280
• Transport to the Coyoacán Oncology Institute: $270
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $650
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
