Help Angelo restart a neighborhood bakery in Calamba after the demolition of the market
A neighborhood bakery in Calamba needs help replacing a commercial oven after the demolition of the market.
🇵🇭 Laguna, Philippines860 views
For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Calamba. In July, the demolition of the market took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 4 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $550 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $260
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $120
• Shop repairs and licensing: $50
• Working capital for the first month: $120
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

So sorry you're going through this, Angelo. Shared this with my family. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
