After a cleft palate needing repair, Andrés was cleared for septoplasty, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Ciudad de México
Andrés was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in June. The surgeon at Ciudad de México General Hospital recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,150, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $2,200 short. my son has been in and out of Ciudad de México General Hospital since June. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,150 is more than we can find. While we wait, Andrés struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Andrés won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $2,200 goes: • Post-operative medication: $65 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $990 • Physiotherapy sessions: $150 • Hospital stay (4 nights): $995 Thank you for reading my story. - Yolanda
