Help Amaka get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
A navy veteran in Lagos needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with post-traumatic stress.

I served four years in the navy and was discharged in 2025 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $350.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $350 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $220
• Transport to appointments: $30
• Essential household items: $100
Thanks for reading all this.

wishing you peace. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Lagos.
