Help Abebe with an overdue water bill before the rainy season
Help Abebe cover an overdue water bill so the household stays safe this the rainy season.
🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia1,838 views
The water account is 3 months behind. Abebe received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Abebe called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $10 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Abebe is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $60
• Reconnection and late fees: $25
• Down payment on a payment plan: $15
Thanks for being kind about this.

hang in there. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. Blessings
wishing you the best. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.
how is Abebe doing now?
Good luck, Lemma. Your post was clear and honest. After 13 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Thinking of you. Hope you get there. I'm in public service myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
Your post was clear and honest. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Shreveport
