I make my living with my delivery van. 5 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my family of five. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $200 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $60 • Labor charges: $40 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $50 • Towing and inspection: $50 Thanks for being kind about this.

  • everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Accra

    • rooting for you. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.

      • Sending strength, Kwasi. I hope things turn around soon. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
