Get Joshua back on the road: my tuk-tuk repair fund

Joshua drives for a living in St. Petersburg, and a broken suspension has stopped all income for 12 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,750. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my younger brothers and sisters. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $1,750 goes: • suspension replacement (parts): $1,200 • Labor charges: $290 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $140 • Towing and inspection: $120 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Joshua

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($411 in total) the plan for labor charges is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Suspension replacement (parts) is $1,200 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for looking so closely.
