Flood in Oakland: help Greenfield village rebuild
The flood damaged 57 homes in Greenfield village. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The flood hit Greenfield village on 28 August. My home was one of 57 damaged, and 11 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $8,850 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $3,750
• Clean water and purification supplies: $600
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,350
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,750
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,400
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone, Piper. This could happen to any of us. Greetings from Saint Paul.
Sending love. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Warsaw so I could bring a meal. Blessings
