Stockholm
Malin was diagnosed with stomach cancer in November. The oncology team at Stockholm University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in February. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Malin is 48, worked as a bakery worker until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Stockholm University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $8,800 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,800 • Scans and lab work: $1,600 • Transport to Stockholm University Hospital: $980 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $290 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,130 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

  • Shared this with my family. After 27 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
