Fighting stage 3 ovarian cancer: help Sathish afford treatment in Mangaluru
Sathish is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In June I was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. My oncology team at the Mangaluru Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in September. I was told to expect about 7 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 43, I worked as a construction supervisor until June, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Mangaluru Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $750 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65
• Household costs while unable to work: $300
• Scans and lab work: $230
• Transport to the Mangaluru Oncology Institute: $155
