Haruto was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August. The oncology team at the Setagaya Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Haruto is 46, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Setagaya Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
