Afshan was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in July. The oncology team at Abbottabad Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Afshan is 47, worked as a bakery worker until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Abbottabad Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
