Kwadwo was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April. The oncology team at Accra University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Kwadwo is 27, worked as a construction supervisor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Accra University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $540 • Transport to Accra University Hospital: $90 • Household costs while unable to work: $175 • Scans and lab work: $245 If you're reading this, thank you.

Updates from Beatrice

  1. Thank you all. We're at 20% now ($206). I'm honestly stunned. the plan for household costs while unable to work is now scheduled.

  2. 9% there. I made the first payment toward chemotherapy and medication not covered. Thank you.
