Eleanor was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in May. The oncology team at Auckland Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Eleanor is 40, worked as a bank teller until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Auckland Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $3,600 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $780 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $650 • Transport to Auckland Regional Medical Center: $600 • Scans and lab work: $1,570 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
