Waraporn was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July. The oncology team at the Bangkok Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Waraporn is 55, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bangkok Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
