Fighting prostate cancer: help Salma afford treatment in Mangaluru
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Mangaluru Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Salma was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January. The oncology team at Mangaluru Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Salma is 56, worked as a farmer until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mangaluru Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75
• Scans and lab work: $130
• Household costs while unable to work: $220
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $875
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Rooting for you, Dola. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Campinas
Good luck. Shared it with a few friends. Don't give up. Greetings from Hialeah.
