Fighting multiple myeloma: help Shweta afford treatment in Rohini
4 rounds of treatment are planned at Rohini Regional Medical Center; we are asking for help with the costs insurance does not cover.
🇮🇳 India314 views
Shweta was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June. The oncology team at Rohini Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Shweta is 25, worked as a taxi driver until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Rohini Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $145
• Transport to Rohini Regional Medical Center: $65
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,250
• Household costs while unable to work: $190
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
