Berlin
Theresa was diagnosed with kidney cancer in July. The oncology team at the Berlin Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Theresa is 27, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Berlin Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $7,600 goes: • Transport to the Berlin Oncology Institute: $900 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $5,000 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $390 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,310 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Updates from Rainer

  1. Quick update: $863 raised so far (11%). I met with the treatment center and confirmed the amounts. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 6% funded and the plan for nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is now scheduled.
