Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Oluwaseun afford treatment in Ikeja
Supporting Oluwaseun through early-stage lung cancer: medication, transport to Ikeja Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria462 views
Oluwaseun was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in July. The oncology team at Ikeja Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Oluwaseun is 36, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Ikeja Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $930
• Scans and lab work: $195
• Transport to Ikeja Regional Medical Center: $135
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
• Household costs while unable to work: $160
Thanks for reading all this.
