Howard was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in April. The oncology team at London University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Howard is 36, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to London University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $720
• Scans and lab work: $730
• Transport to London University Hospital: $500
